La partecipazione dello SBA al Progetto “Credi in Gradi” ha permesso la digitalizzazione in formato jpeg ad alta risoluzione di circa 370 opere che datano dalla prima metà del ‘500 al pieno ‘800, tra cui circa 40 fra cinquecentine e secentine di notevole valore storico. L’acquisizione digitale ha riguardato anche periodici e volumi del primo ‘900, di particolare importanza.
La collezione di libri antichi e rari, presente nel patrimonio bibliografico del Polo umanistico-sociale, rappresenta un primo rilevante passo verso l’innovazione tecnologica e un grande contributo alla diffusione in rete, in modalità open access, delle opere digitalizzate, ponendosi al servizio della ricerca umanistica.
Le opere digitalizzate sono presenti anche nel WorldCat Discovery (Catalogo SBA), in cui i record catalografici della collezione digitale sono corredati delle scansioni, con accesso diretto e libero alle pagine.
