Professional Licensing

With D.L. No. 139 of June 28, 2005, the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts was established in accordance with Article 2 of Law No. 34 of February 24, 2005. The Department of Economics and Business at the University of Tuscia is a designated site for the State Examinations for the qualification to practice as Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts.

Each year, the department hosts two examination sessions for the qualification as Chartered Accountant (Section A) and two examination sessions for the qualification as Accounting Expert (Section B).

The DEIM Department has established agreements with the Order of Chartered Accountants of Viterbo and the Order of Chartered Accountants of Civitavecchia concerning the completion of internships and exemption from the written exam of the State Examination. In a note dated January 11, 2016, the MIUR communicated that the credits required for access to the internship for Chartered Accountant can be acquired throughout the entire Master’s degree program.

 

Order of Graduate Surveyors and Order of Graduate Industrial Technicians

According to the interministerial decree MUR/Justice No. 682/2023, the degree program in Techniques for Bioarchitecture (class L-P01) qualifies graduates for the professions of licensed surveyor and licensed industrial building technician. The DEIM Department has established specific agreements with the relevant professional bodies, including the College of Surveyors and Licensed Surveyors of Viterbo and the College of Industrial Technicians of Viterbo, aimed at organizing the qualification exam sessions.

In accordance with the regulations set forth by the decrees, the final exam of the degree program consists of two phases:

  1. Practical Evaluation Test (PPV): This involves an examination of the profession’s principles and the resolution of one or more practical problems consistent with those analyzed during the Practical Evaluation Internship (TPV). This test is conducted before a judging committee composed of half university faculty members, one of whom serves as the Chair, appointed by the program council, and half professionals with proven experience, designated by the relevant professional representatives.
  2. Final Exam: Access to this phase is granted only after successfully passing the PPV and obtaining the qualification as a licensed surveyor or licensed industrial building technician. This exam follows the rules for degree examinations and is conducted by a committee entirely composed of university faculty.

The dates for the final exam will be established by the Program Council in agreement with the relevant professional bodies for each academic year.
