The Umbrian Association for the Fight Against Cancer (AUCC) announces a degree award in memory of Gianmichele Laccetti, intended for graduates in Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologies, Biological Sciences, and Biotechnology (second-level Master’s degree) from all Italian universities.
Honoring research in memory of those who did not make it. The Laccetti Award is a symbol of strength and hope, created to remember Gianmichele Laccetti, a young Geology student at the University of Perugia, who tragically passed away in 1994 at the age of 32 due to cancer. It is a recognition that celebrates the value of research and the courage of those who fight every day.
The award, valued at 774 euros, is reserved for those who have earned their degree in the academic years 2022/2023 and 2023/2024, presenting a thesis in oncology, both experimental and clinical.
