60 CFU Training Course

The National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System has approved the proposals submitted by the University of Tuscia for the activation of the new Initial Training and Qualification Path for Common Position Teachers in secondary schools of first and second degree.

The course, corresponding to 60 CFUs, is designed to develop and assess cultural, disciplinary, pedagogical, psychopedagogical, didactic, and methodological skills in future teaching professionals. Additionally, it aims to provide the ability to design flexible educational paths, thus responding to the needs of the evolving educational system.

In compliance with the Prime Minister’s Decree of August 4, 2023, the University of Tuscia has activated academic paths for various teaching disciplines: literary subjects, Italian, history and geography, mathematics and sciences, food sciences, sports sciences, natural sciences, chemical and biological sciences, technology, language and foreign culture (English), agricultural sciences and technologies laboratories.

The enabling paths, differentiated according to access requirements, offer options of 60, 36, and 30 CFUs, allowing participants to develop specific skills necessary for the teaching subjects of their interest. The choice of subjects was guided not only by the skills available at the university but also by the national need for teachers identified by the Ministry of Education and Merit.

For the academic year 2023/2024, the course will have a cost of 2500 euros for 60 CFU courses and 1500 euros for 30 CFU courses, with significant discounts for Unitus graduates and current students enrolled in master’s degree courses (holding at least 180 CFUs as well as the CFUs required by the regulations on access to teaching in specific teaching subjects) or doctoral programs.
