Summer School “Energy Transition on Farms”
July 29 – August 3, 2024

The last spots are available for the Summer School “Energy transition on farms: Renewable Sources and Electrification,” which will take place from July 29 to August 3, 2024, at the Alpine Study Center (CSALP) in Pieve Tesino (TN). The Summer School (download the program here) is organized by the Department of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences (DAFNE) of the University of Tuscia in collaboration with the IV Section AIIA, CREA, UNASA, and AIEL.

The Summer School aims to address crucial topics on the production and use of electricity applied to the agriculture and forestry sector, for greater energy autonomy. Specifically, the themes will include technologies for the production of energy from renewable sources directly on farms (photovoltaics, biomass, biogas) and how this can be reused in the same agricultural context in storage systems, electrified vehicles, and other installations.

Seminars, lectures, and classroom activities are planned, with industry experts and academics guiding participants through the challenges and opportunities offered by these emerging technologies. Technical visits to production facilities collaborating on the initiative will also be conducted.

Participation in the Summer School will entitle participants to 3 ECTS credits valid as AFS.

The registration fee is €350.00, including meals, accommodation, and transfers for technical visits. The program, registration form (available until July 15), and other useful information can be found on the Summer School webpage at www.ergolab-unitus.com.
