Workshop PLF

DAFNE department partner of the third edition of the itinerant workshop dedicated to students on Precision Livestock Farming: a successful formula appreciated by students, teachers, and businesses

This year, from September 12 to 14, 2024, the University of Tuscia participated in the 3rd PLF Student’s Travel Workshop organized by the ASPA PLF Commission. The event gathered 65 participants, including students, graduates, PhD candidates, and professors from five Italian universities (Bologna, Milan, Naples, Piacenza, and Viterbo), as well as Fabio Abeni from CREA, the ASPA PLF Commission Coordinator. Several industry representatives from the PLF sector (MSD Animal Health, Lely Italy, Zoetis, and CARRA Mangimi), who also sponsored the event, were invited to actively engage in the scientific event.

The University of Tuscia was represented by a group consisting of three students, two PhD candidates, and two professors (Bernabucci and Basiricò) from the Master’s Degree program “Digital Management of Agriculture and Mountain Areas” (GEDAM) of the DAFNE department. The initiative was hosted at the “Leonardo Room” in the WAMGROUP Spa facility in Villa Motta (MO).

At the end of the three-day event, both teachers and students, supported by feedback from the participating companies, expressed great satisfaction and encouraged the continuation of this experience in the future.
