DAFNE and Texas Water Resources Institute: synergies and future collaborations

Dr. Giovanni Piccinni, CEO and Director of the Texas Water Resources Institute, together with
Associate Directors Dr. Allen Berthold and Dr. Lucas Gregory, held a seminar yesterday, 15 January
2025, at the ‘Carlo Perone Pacifico’ lecture hall. During the event, the activities of the institute were
outlined, highlighting potential collaborations with the Department of Agricultural and Forestry
Sciences (DAFNE) of the University of Tuscia.
The seminar explored synergies in the areas of research and education, with a focus on sustainable
water resource management and scientific innovation. Areas of common interest were identified,
laying the foundations for future joint projects.
The meeting concluded with the drafting of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), aimed at
formalising cooperation between the two institutions in order to foster an international exchange of
expertise and strength academic networks.
