Middle school students discovering SOILLESS systems

DAFNE department supports the L. Fantappiè Secondary School by opening the Nello Lupori didactic-experimental Farm and the Laboratory of Vegetable Crops to students of the first and second classes involved in the project ‘Building the Future: Languages, STEM and Orientation’ ex PNRR DM 65/2023. The title of the training course is ‘Cultivating without soil (discovering the profession of the hi-tech farmer)’ and involves students in observations, small research, experiments and visits to the University of Tuscia.
With Prof. Mariateresa Cardarelli, students were able to observe materials, tools and techniques of soilless cultivation, and were assigned a mission in order to practice the scientific method, mobilize problem solving and creative thinking.
