Il Prof. Tommaso Chiti è un accademico nel campo delle Scienze del Suolo e delle Foreste, specializzato nella dinamica del carbonio e nell'impatto dei cambiamenti di uso del suolo sugli stock di carbonio organico del suolo. Come professore associato, si occupa di comprendere l'impatto delle pratiche di gestione sostenibile del territorio sul sistema suolo per supportare gli inventari nazionali dei gas serra nel settore LULUCF e aumentare la comprensione dell'impatto delle pratiche di Carbon Farming. Con oltre 20 anni di esperienza nella ricerca, il Prof. Chiti ha coordinato e partecipato a diversi progetti europei, tra cui i progetti LIFE e Horizon, ha una vasta esperienza di lavoro sul campo in varie regioni globali, dall'Africa sub-sahariana all'Asia e al Mediterraneo.
