Curriculum Vitae

  • Personal profile and research interests

As a PhD student, my research focuses on enhancing the use of local territories for tourism, with a commitment to environmental and social sustainability. My interests include studying sustainability, innovation, and quality, especially in the tourism sector. Through this work, I explore strategies that support sustainable development by balancing tourism growth with responsible management of natural resources. I aim to develop a model that not only enriches visitor experiences but also respects and benefits local communities, promoting a resilient and inclusive approach to tourism.

  • PhD project

My PhD project focuses on the promotion of sustainable tourism in the Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise and internal aereas. The first part of the research examines national parks in Italy, analyzing their geography, economic profiles, and the various forms of tourism that attract visitors. It then shifts to a detailed study of the park’s territory, including surrounding internal areas, to better understand local resources and tourist flows. The empirical analysis involves developing a questionnaire to assess visitor preferences and behaviors. The goal is to identify potential strategies and actions that promote sustainable tourism, enhancing both the environmental and economic value of the park and its communities. By combining these theoretical and empirical approaches, the research aims to provide a comprehensive framework for sustainable tourism development. This work will contribute to creating strategies that balance tourism growth with the responsible management of natural and cultural resources, ensuring long-term sustainability and local community benefits. The final outcome will offer valuable insights into how tourism can be effectively integrated into the region’s economic fabric, while fostering environmental preservation and social inclusion.
