L’embargo è il periodo di tempo durante il quale la tesi archiviata in un deposito istituzionale risulta secretata ed accessibile solo per la parte dei metadati (il periodo di tempo è di dodici mesi).
Il dottorando ha il diritto di chiedere un periodo di segretazione, purché la richiesta sia debitamente giustificata. Per tale motivo, le domande di embargo superiori ai 12 mesi saranno approvate esclusivamente se corredate da apposito documento giustificativo in mancanza del quale le tesi saranno riportate d’ufficio ad una segretazione massima di 12 mesi
